At the heart of our operations lies a legacy of craftsmanship and passion for the sea. Over four decades ago, Dennis Fogg laid the foundation for Fogg’s Boatworks with a vision of building unparalleled custom boats.
In 2004, this vision materialized into the crafting of Foggcrafts – welded aluminum alloy boats. They are a testament to classic elegance, unmatched efficiency, and enduring durability. Under the guidance of Dennis, the newer generation of Fogg’s sons, Patrick and Eben, have grown the legacy, pushing boundaries in design and innovation.
Today, these boats are not just the backbone of our taxi and charter service but also can be seen working in different capacities across the bay, reflecting our commitment to quality and service. Martine
The Martine is our red taxi with outside bench seating, a full cabin, a Bluetooth sound system, and a modified v-hull.

Vesta Merle
The Vesta Merle is our largest taxi with outside bench seating, a full cabin, a bathroom, and a Bluetooth sound system. Its “Mod V” hull design and aluminum frame are especially well-suited to Maine.

Gizzy
The Gizzy is our blue Cuddy Cabin with a canvas cover and a modified v-hull perfect for Maine’s choppy waters. It has a bathroom, Bluetooth sound system, and plenty of comfortable seating. We use the Gizzy primarily for small charters.

Lawman
The Lawman is our flat-bottom aluminum-hulled boat with seating in both the stern and bow. We primarily use the Lawman for beach drops, especially on trips to Fort Gorges, where we can run trips any time, regardless of the tides.

UB-85 Joseph S. Kennedy
The UB-85 Joseph S. Kennedy is a 50 ft. Navy launch was built in 1985. We refitted it as a charter boat which can accommodate 49 people. The Joseph S. Kennedy has a head as well as a Bluetooth sound system. It has a liquor license, and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase during cruises on this vessel.
